Aragon - Senior Buck DOB 2/02
4/2005 Update:
Aragon is a beautiful guy – powerful and well proportioned.
He’s also a big sweetheart and so are the kids he sires. In addition to
great dispositions, he passes on to his daughters wonderful udders that are
easy to milk from well formed teats. He also passes on spots, speckles, and
splashes – making colorful and productive kids!
2004:
His lineage includes very strong Canadian lines in addition to the exceptional Fra-Jac
blood so we expect great things from him.

Spring 2012:
Sadly we lost Benny this year. Benny sired many
lovely, productive sons and daughters. He will be sorely missed, but as
always, we enjoy loving on our Benny Babies.
Summer
2011 update:
All of Benny's great achievements haven't changed
him. He is still a sweet fella that loves to get attention.
He is a very gentle guy that continues to produce very stylish,
productive offspring.
Summer
2010 update:
What can we say - Benny has done it again. We
had a very tough Linear Appraisal session this year and only had two new
"First Time Excellent" does - and they were both Benny Babies.
Good looking girls making lots of milk. Congratulations to
Harmony
and Miranda.
Benny
now has both a son and a grandson that have qualified for ADGA's Sire
Development Program - and that's no small feat!
Benny was
awarded his Superior Genetics title this year - and he really does
deserve it! He also deserved the "plus" that has now been added to
his achievements. Great work, Ben!
But wait - there's more! Benny has also
received his Elite Sire status from the USDA. That puts him in the top
15% for
quality bucks. Wow, what a guy!
Summer
2009 update:
Benny's kids haven't let us down yet! Two of
his yearling daughters earned the highest score possible on linear
appraisal and all his girls are milking great out of beautiful udders.
Plus they are sweet, easy going, and love their jobs. We just love
our Benny Babies.
July
2008 update:
Benny's first BMR
daughter, Harmony, freshened
well this year and was our highest scoring yearling on Linear Appraisal.
His 2008 daughters look just as promising and we kept a lot of them! Benny is a very nice fella - easy going and sweet tempered.
July
2007 update:
Benny has had a rough
life so far. He’s lived in
California, Arizona, New Mexico, and now back into Arizona. It took awhile for him to find
the right home, and we feel that home is here with us. Benny is a sweet,
gentle fella. He enjoys being petted and talked to but isn’t demanding or
overbearing. He produces lovely kids and we are very anxious to see how
they freshen. Since Benny scored an incredible 91 EEE
on his linear appraisal we have a sneaking suspicion that his kids will do
quite well.

Guajillo (wah-HEE-oh) came
from a very good Canadian line of dairy goats. He was amazingly
friendly, sociable, easy to work with (for a buck) - really just a big
sweetie. His daughters have beautiful, well attached, silky smooth
udders that milk out easily and well. Good work, Guajillo! In addition
to the great udders he put on his daughters, he gave them wonderful
capacious bodies with strong toplines, plus gave them wonderful coloring
and quite a sense of humor! We really enjoyed owning this buck.

Summer 2009:
Marco, now a 2 year old, is continuing to grow well, but is quite a
shaggy fella. It's hard for us to assess his conformation and last
year's linear appraisal session ran too long for us to get him appraised.
We were very pleased this year when he appraised as Excellent.

Born 6/19/2005

G6S Status: Normal
Linear Appraisal Score: 87 V+E
July 2007 update:
Zippy has grown into a
powerful, good looking buck. With bucks, when you want to see what kind
of udder they will give their daughters, you look at the buck’s dam.
Well, Zippy’s dam, Sassafras, was appraised with an Excellent udder. The
appraiser commented several times that she had a perfect rear udder and
even stopped his appraisal to gather all the people around to see it. We
are still waiting to see what Zippy’s daughter’s udders really will look
like – but if they are anything like Sassy’s, they’ll be winners!
