Summer 2012:

River looks to be developing into a very powerful doe.  She is deep and long and elegant.  She scored as Excellent on linear appraisal despite having packed on a few extra pounds.  River is a quiet, easy going doe.

Summer 2011:

River is growing well and looking fine.  She has a great rear udder.  In fact her mammary system scored as Excellent on our last appraisal with the appraiser even "stopping the show" to exclaim about it.  Good work, River. 

River has now earned for her Superior Genetics title!

Summer 2010:

What a lovely young lady!  We just love the set to her ears, they frame her face so nicely.  River is a big girl already and is milking big, too.  She is living up to her name making a "river of milk" for us to make cheese out of.  She is still a baby at heart, however, and once her time in the milking parlor is done she loves playing on the big dirt pile or chasing after her friends. 

Summer 2009:

This kid's mom is named Flash Flood, her dad is Rio, and her name is River.  Hmmmm, maybe this indicates that she will milk well?  Or maybe we should just invest in some umbrellas.  We'll see next year.
