Black Mesa Sage's Starburst

Born 3/4/2006

CAE Status: Negative

G6S Status: Normal

July 2007 update:

What can you expect from a girl that was born with three brothers.  Learning how to make an udder evidently was NOT on their list of activities.   Starburst has lovely teats and the beginnings of a nice udder, but still has some work to do.  We will be breeding her early this year.  Hopefully she will do her homework and get her equipment in order so that she can be our winter milker.

June 2006 update:

Starburst is one of quadruplets born to one of our favorite does this year.  She and her three brothers were quite a sight, practically making a whole herd by themselves!  Her mom, Sage, is one of our best, most promising milkers so we are very excited to see how this little girl grows up.

So far, Starburst looks like she’ll live up to the high expectations we have for her.  She is also just like her mom was as a kid - a real “butt-bomper”.  She loves to jump up on her people for attention, especially from behind.  It’s not that we don’t pet her and love on her while she’s on the ground – she just wants MORE!  And, of course, she gets it.  What can we say – we’re suckers for goats!  Starburst has already been fun to watch develop and we are very excited about her potential on the milk stand as she becomes part of the BMR working crew.
