July 2007 update:

Watching kids turn into milkers is always fascinating.   Scrawny little kids become active big kids, then develop a chubby look once they are bred and their pregnancies progress.  Then at kidding, they lose all that extra weight (the kids) and magically turn into beautiful milkers.  Chubby little Penny delighted us by turning into a long lovely girl.  She still has a bit of baby fat to lose, but the way she is milking it won’t take long.  She loves to come in to be milked and does a great job.  She will easily earn her milking star this year.

 Fall 2005 update:

News Flash!  BMR’s Latest Addition

Flash gave birth to a 6.4 pound adorable little doeling on September 6th.    Penny had a rocky start to life.  Born submerged in a great flood of birthing fluid she had to be helped to breath her first breaths. She ended up living in the house for a couple weeks and is now as at home in the leather recliner as she is out browsing with the herd. Because of being spoiled and pampered so much, one knowledgeable goat breeder has warned us that Penny will never be a “true goat”.   Penny is full of energy, very self-assured, and sweet as they come.
