July 2007 update:

Bug is a quiet girl, not needing much attention.  She pretty much just goes about her own business.  Her business includes making milk and showing up for work on time to be milked.  She is a conscientious girl and, like her mom, is diligent in her duties.   She waits patiently by the parlor door for her turn.  She doesn’t bash heads or cause a ruckus.  She moves to her milk stand quickly and stands quietly while getting milked.  She’s a professional and acts like it.  But she gladly accepts a second handful of animal crackers on her way out the door.

July 2006 update:

Sage is an amazingly deep, capacious young lady.  Good thing since she decided to have quadruplet kids this year!  That’s a big load for a 2 year old.  Bug has also become a bit more refined, looking much more dairy and feminine than last year.  Bug has a wonderfully rounded, well attached udder with perfect plumb teats.  She’s a real fun girl to milk.

 2005 update:

Whew, Bug has finally stopped jumping up on people and has even settled down a bit.  She has grown so much this year - this is one STURDY girl, she looks much more mature than you'd expect a yearling to.  She's deep and wide and freshened with a wonderfully shaped and attached udder.   While her sister, Sassy, is milking more than she, Bug is really giving her a good challenge and will easily earn her milking star.

More background on Sage: (2004)

Sage, and twin sister Sassafras, are Reuel Dairy Goat kids, and have taught us that “Reuel Kids Rule!”  These two girls are simply delightful and have us totally trained to spoil them.  Sage, nicknamed “Bug”, is as sweet as they come.  She loves to cuddle.  She also likes to throw herself at any human butt that she sees walking away from her.  She’s a real Butt Bomper!  Hopefully, this behavior will cease as she gets bigger!  Sage has wonderfully correct rear legs – straight where they should be, curved where they should be.  Her escutcheon area is awesome!  She will be a long, capacious girl, sturdy and milky.  “Bug” is a real hit here at BMR – we are enjoying her immensely!
